Invitation to A Night with StrathLoop II, SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition

You are invited to the hyperloop pod design reveal of StrathLoop!

We would like to invite you to join us for our annual event A Night with StrathLoop II<https://www.facebook.com/events/177348643497017/> on Thursday 19th of March at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. StrathLoop is a student-run initiative at the University of Strathclyde aiming to design a hyperloop pod and contribute to the sustainable development of the transport industry.

We are currently working on our design for a hyperloop pod which we aim to compete in Elon Musk's Competition, the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition and race in the SpaceX test track in California!

We are currently looking to expand the team and have many exiting projects needing a wide variety of students (i.e. our STEM Outreach Program, company outreach to deal with our sponsors and acquire new ones, ...).

In our first year of existence, we secured a place among the top 34 teams of the 2019 SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition - from 1300+ entries around the globe! In order to secure a winning spot for the next competition we are looking for potential sponsors and A Night with StrathLoop II will provide the opportunity to meet us and hear about our upcoming plans. The event will feature a talk by the team's leads outlining our designs, future plans and hyperloop technology at large. Following the talk, you will be invited to talk to members of the team with some food and drinks. Furthermore, each sub-team will display demonstrations explaining their part in the team as a whole and the interesting, innovative technologies developed for their sub-systems. The event's timeline can be seen bellow:

  *   17:30: Doors Open
  *   18:00: Keynote Presentation
  *   19:00: Sub-team Demonstrations and Catered Networking
  * 20:30: End of the Event

Who and what is StrathLoop?
Our vision is to become a reference in the world of renewable transportation. StrathLoop's mission is to help students put to practice what they learn in their classes and to help them learn new skills to help them in their future personal and professional lives. The team is comprised of over 80 of the brightest undergraduate students from the faculties of Engineering, Science and Business within the University of Strathclyde. The team members are focusing on the design of our competing pod, full-scale feasibility and communicating the scientific principles of our pod locally and globally to help inspire the next generation of STEM students.

'Hyperloop' is an environmentally friendly concept of transportation where pods similar to trains are levitated and electrically propelled through near vacuum tubes at speeds of up to 700mph. We are designing and building a prototype hyperloop pod to race alongside other universities from all over the world in SpaceX's test tunnel in California.

To secure one of the last remaining tickets, visit our Facebook event<https://www.facebook.com/events/177348643497017/> or the Eventbrite page<https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/a-night-with-strathloop-ii-tickets-93309265525?fbclid=IwAR26JjCRCUzpeSu_rpjlwnIYqebb_9C_kXEUmVy8NKT2vK2k6Gmn6niVwAg> directly!

We look forward seeing you the 19th of March.

Kind Regards,

StrathLoop
