Testing for COVID-19
Third Test Collection Centre now open

Staff and students are now able to pick up tests at the Student Experience Helpdesk on Level 4 in the Learning and Teaching Building.
The service will be available Monday to Friday from 11am to 2pm and is in addition to the existing Collection Points<https://universityofstrathclyde.newsweaver.com/cvg4pnmkid/9kl3jal6z56w5sb93d38j4/external?email=true&a=5&p=61200181&t=31139365> in the Livingstone Tower café area, and Strathclyde Sport reception.

Major improvement works to take place on lower level train line
[https://universityofstrathclyde.newsweaver.com/v2files/shard1/85313/35/6774b866d91225ae922af8.png]From 13 March until 8 May 2022, major improvement works on the railtrack, tunnels and overhead line equipment between Rutherglen and the Exhibition Centre will take place, with the line closing and no train services running during that time.
Many services, which would normally operate via Glasgow Central Low Level, will be diverted into Glasgow Central High Level or Glasgow Queen Street Low Level stations.
Scotrail is developing plans to keep passengers moving when the improvement works take place.

Vicky Burns, Digital Communications Officer, RKES, tells us how she used Power Automate to streamline processes for managing email enquiries, resulting in clients getting a faster response to more simple requests and freeing the team's time to focus on more complicated value-added tasks that require their specialist knowledge and expertise.

Outlets reopening
[Street Food Bites]Street Food Bites in the Learning and Teaching Building has reopened, with amazing “From the Wok” Asian dishes, Bun Box Wrap and our famous Strath Fried Chicken.
The Sports Café also reopened last week, with hot, filled baked potatoes, protein shakes, grab-and-go pots and delicious Fairtrade coffees.
Flava café will be re-opening tomorrow (2 February), serving freshly baked pizzas, delicious subs and tasty homemade curries.

Each year, six full-time Student Executive Officers (Student Exec) are elected to represent the student voice at the University.

As part of the nominations campaign, staff are invited to recommend a student.

New feature of Research Professional

This advanced service feature provides researchers with personalised funding alerts based on the profiles created from their previously published work reported on Strathclyde's website.

The Cancer Medicines Outcomes Programme (CMOP) – a national collaborative project between the NHS boards in Scotland and the University of Strathclyde – would like to invite anyone who has an interest in patient reported outcome measures (PROMs) to the following event.
The first meeting of the Scottish Cancer Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) Forum, which is being established as part of the Scottish Cancer PROMS Advisory Group. The Advisory group was formed in 2021 and reports to the Scottish Government’s National Cancer Recovery group.
