Badges and lanyards now available to collect on campus

We are participating in the Distance Aware Scheme<https://universityofstrathclyde.newsweaver.com/cvg4pnmkid/rv9om5xjb56w5sb93d38j4/external?email=true&a=5&p=61341099&t=31139365>, which has been designed to help those worried about mixing with others as we adapt to living with COVID-19.
We are now providing badges and lanyards to anyone who wants to show other students, colleagues and visitors that they would like more space and would like others to take extra care around them.
The Distance Aware badges and lanyards are available at collection points in the following areas on campus:

Notification of strike participation

The Library presents the Craft Ribbon and Feel Good Film playlist
[https://universityofstrathclyde.newsweaver.com/v2files/shard1/85313/d8/f6993aceb0122733518133.jpg]Calling all creators and crafters! The Library and Information Services colleagues have made a start on a community craft ribbon which is currently on display in the Library.
They are encouraging staff and students to try out some simple colouring, painting or arts and crafts (pom poms, origami etc.) and would like to encourage any member of the University community to create and donate small pieces of work to add to the ribbon.
There will also be crafting table in the Library on Thursday 3 March for University Mental Health Day and the Library team has curated a Feel Good Film playlist from colleagues' suggestions.

We have an extensive wealth of expertise across the institution who can contribute to the attainment of these global challenges, but we are not always aware of the skills and experience that exist within other departments and faculties.

A Strathclyde--led project for creating a Climate Neutral Innovation District in Glasgow city centre was named winner in the Collaboration In Net Zero category of the Industry Awards and Professor Bill Ion, of the University’s Department of Design, Manufacturing and Engineering Management (DMEM), also received the Peer Recognition Award, in acknowledgement of his work in engineering education throughout his career.
