Hello Melanie

My name is Afric Nickson and Lorraine Annand kindly suggested I contact you. I have been brought on board by Coherent Scotland to assist with recruitment activity during a time of rapid growth.

I have been fortunate enough to interview some of your graduates for our laser systems engineer position, which is a role dedicated to assembly within a cleanroom.  Key to these graduates' success has been their hands-on application skills gained from their studies.  We are looking to engage with students graduating this year - most likely BSc or MSc level.

We have more 'senior' positions for laser development engineers available within our design team, which allows for full-product-life-cycle exposure within our state-of-the-art facility. The level 1 position is targeted at those graduating this summer or level 2 for those with some experience working in relevant post-doc studies.  Once again, they will require hands-on building experience.  If it's in ultrafast laser technology, that's an added bonus, however, we can provide training in this aspect of the role.

We are hoping that you might be willing to advise on the best connection route with those graduates who have demonstrated ability 'building' laser technology who are looking for a career within Glasgow's photonics sector.
