Taking effect this week

Instead, and in line with Scottish Government guidance, we will now strongly encourage the use of face coverings as a precaution to help protect each other, particularly where significant numbers of people are present.
This means that it is down to individuals to choose when and where to wear a face covering while on campus.

Results of 2021 Research Excellence Framework published this week

These results play an important role in informing decisions by governments and funding bodies on how much research funding to allocate to universities, as well as influencing the reputational standing of institutions.

The award recognises commitment to implementing the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers, which set out principles for good working conditions.

The Principal was delighted to be able to finally present the 2020 and 2021 category winners with their prizes, alongside this year’s winners, at the wine reception, and there was a great atmosphere as staff and students came together from across the four faculties to celebrate.

David Robertson (Psychology), William McGeown (Psychology), and Andrew Wodehouse (DMEM) recently received funding from the EPSRC-Impact Accelerator Account to create a Citizen Science exhibit at the Glasgow Science Centre.
The focal point of the exhibit will be three digital touchscreen kiosk, providing an opportunity for EPSRC-funded projects/researchers to highlight their work to a public audience.

Aims to encourage ECRs from the economic and social sciences
