Our summer Step Count Challenge with Paths For All is over, and it has seen our competitors explore Scotland both locally and off the beaten track to get those vital steps in. This year we had 190 competitors compete and walk over 83 million steps! Pictured above is Laura MacAulay's photograph of her trip to the Cairngorm Mountains.

New system due to be introduced in the new Academic year
[https://universityofstrathclyde.newsweaver.com/v3files/shard1/85313/d5/5c80e6a332aa7b97c961ba.jpg]To support staff working on campus during the pandemic, in April 2020 we introduced a ‘right to roam’ model which allowed colleagues to access University car parks free of charge.
As our campus has now got significantly busier with all staff expected to have an on-campus presence each week, this temporary ‘right to roam’ arrangement is coming to an end on 7 August.

Briony Willis, Senior IS Assistant in the Andersonian Library recalls her move to Strathclyde from London, what inspired her to enter her profession and the work she did with colleagues to develop the Library Nook - a quiet corner of Level 3, lit with lamps and furnished with a sofa, soft rug and cosy cushions – perfect for when students need a little screen-free time away from their studies.

The ‘Success’ series is a set of monthly interactive workshops, delivered over a six-month period via Zoom, providing simple continuous improvement techniques which will engender success for you and your team. At only 1 hour 15 minutes per session it is a great way to meet like-minded colleagues from across the University and pick up improvement skills to adopt tomorrow.
Target Audience: Staff who are responsible for leading change or improvement initiatives.
