[Toy Appeal Strathclyde Sport]
Strathclyde Business School students on the MDP3 Social Responsibility Pathway are again helping to run the Strathclyde Christmas Toy Appeal, donating gifts to several charities and schools in the Glasgow area and beyond.
We’re delighted to say that thanks to your generosity the appeal has so far raised over £2000 in cash donations and around 500 gifts have been received, but there’s still time to donate a gift, make a cash donation or support the appeal through initiatives such as Strathclyde Sport’s Christmas jumper day this Thursday (8 December) or Professor Allister Ferguson's AppinWood hand made wooden gifts.

[TRAVISIONS 2022 Senior researcher award ceremony for waterborne transport at TRA2022 Gala Dinner in Lisbon]
Professor Mehmet Atlar, Department of Naval Architecture Ocean and Marine Engineering, won the TRAVISION2022 Senior Research Award in the Waterborne mode based on his entry entitled “An innovative way of retrofitting ships for greener and safer operations”.
The award was awarded at TRA2022 Conference by the Director of the EC Clean Planet DGRI in Lisbon last month.

Five Strathclyde students received awards from a Glasgow community advocacy organisation, Africa Future, at a ceremony on Saturday 26 November at the Pearce Institue in Govan.
The awards recognised the achievements of African students and students of African origin, based on their academic performance and contributions to the University and campus life.

The Centre for Lifelong Learning has launched an exciting new MOOC in partnership with FutureLearn.
