Particle Accelerators and Beams Annual Conference 2023 29 - 30th June 2023 - University of Strathclyde.
Exciting last minute updates
PAB2023 is fast approaching on what a conference it promises to be. We will have keynote talks from Yifang Wang, the Director of the Chinese Institute for High Energy Physics, talking to us about the Chinese "Circular Electron Positron Collider" and from Lia Merminga, the Director General of FermiLab, giving us an insight into the US perspective on the future of accelerators. As well as an exciting series of plenary talks covereing everything from XFels to EPAC, 4 parallel talk sessions and a poster session.
The social program is, as always, not to be missed. A real opportunity for us to talk, get to know each other and share our research. Starting at a Civic Reception at the incredible Glasgow City Chambers<https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/glasgow-city-chambers-staircase> (a rare opportunity to see a building with more marble than the Vatican) hosted by the Lord Provost of Glasgow. A banquet dinner will follow at the same location followed by a short walk across the road to Conference room 9 where we can contuinue getting to know each other to the sounds of bagpipe rockers "Scot Rock" (if you have never seen bag pipes and contemporary rock and pop fused in band form this is your chance).
We are incredibly excited to welcome you all!
The deadline to register for PAB 2023 conference<https://iop.eventsair.com/pab2023/> is 15 June 2023 at 11am - and would like to encourage you to register promptly.
