Supporting this is the Centre for Sustainable Development's annual Sustainability Strathclyde Month – taking place in March, it's an opportunity to showcase the great work we are doing at Strathclyde and ensure that our students understand and are aware of how the UN Sustainable Development Goals relate to their studies and future careers.

Yesterday (15 January), the latest staff induction event took place in the Technology & Innovation Centre to welcome new colleagues to Strathclyde.
The induction was well attended, with over 110 new members of staff gathering to hear from speakers and visit the marketplace to learn about working life at Strathclyde.

Throughout November 2023, three Strathclyders – Wendy Pring (Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship), Dr Stephanie Ordonez (Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering) and Dr Maria Weikum (Organisational & Staff Development Unit) – participated in a three-week ship voyage to the Antarctic peninsula as part of the international Homeward Bound initiative focused on leadership development and collective action towards global sustainability challenges.
Having returned to Glasgow, they share some of their key findings and lessons from the trip.

A path towards access to justice
[Law Clinic alumni at 20 year event]
Since it was established by Professor Donald Nicolson OBE in 2003, the Strathclyde Law Centre has helped more than 4000 people in more than 6000 cases, including some high-profile successes, among them a landmark ruling on Long COVID being legally considered a disability.
The Clinic, which is primarily run day-to-day by Law students, recently passed the milestone of £2million won or saved for its clients.

This event will help to promote the facilities by attracting those who have not used them before, and encourage them to return.
The facility will be open to women between 6.30pm and 10pm,
There will be lots on offer including; gym, swim, fitness classes, Learn to Lift sessions, Sports Club sessions, massage and wellbeing stalls.
