Dear PhD students,

During welcome week for new undergraduates (16-20 Sept) , the Department will be hosting a poster session to inform new students about various activities in the Dept e.g. the projects that undergraduates can do in their 4th /5th years, internships, current research etc.
As part of the information on current research activity, PGR (and PGT) students are invited to be involved and contribute. The intention is to continue to build a strong community in the department and also to provide professional examples of posters and presenting summaries of them.

Any PGR student can offer to contribute and present a poster. Current 2nd year students who are currently preparing posters for next week's PG poster session - perhaps some of these could be easily amended into a version aimed at the level of a new undergraduate ?

The poster session for new undergraduates is being organised by Helen Vaughan (helen.vaughan at strath.ac.uk<mailto:helen.vaughan at strath.ac.uk>) - please contact her if you're interested in participating. Producing and presenting a poster at the event could earn you 1 PG Cert credit under RD904 (or RD905) activity "Independent development of your communication and dissemination abilities".

Regards

Gordon
