This course will run from 23rd July until 1st August 2025 and is designed for PhD students, early career researchers, newly independent group leaders, research technical professionals and imaging facility managers who are using light microscopes in their work and who wish to upskill in practical optical imaging. No previous experience in optical microscopy is required. The maximum course fee for academic participants, including PhD students, is £300.  We have an extensive programme of lectures and practical sessions, covering topics from setting up a basic light microscope for brightfield imaging, phase contrast and DIC, through to advanced topics including structured illumination microscopy, multiphoton imaging, lightsheet microscopy, FLIM, FRET, FCS, and mesoscopy. Application deadline is 17th January 2025.
