The project team have been delighted by the positive feedback they have received from colleagues, with many citing the benefits of having our people information in one place, with simpler navigation making HR resources and policies much more accessible.
This week we’re looking at new policies that have been developed, and existing ones revised and enhanced, and how colleagues can keep up to date with any changes to them.

The new dashboard is mobile-responsive, fully accessible, and designed with a sleek new interface. Find what you need faster with improved navigation, see all your Pegasus notifications in one place, and enjoy powerful new features like shared searches, recently visited applications, and a revamped bookmarking system.

Important changes to bookmarks
The current bookmarking functionality (which supports external links) will be removed and replaced with new functionality. Existing bookmarks will not be carried over, but Pegasus-related links can be recreated using the new functionality.

This change aims to provide more reliable and secure methods for verifying identities and protecting accounts.

The Director of the Fraser of Allander Institute at Strathclyde, has been appointed a non-executive director of the UK Statistics Authority (UKSA).
Professor Mairi Spowage’s appointment was recommended by an assessment panel led by the Authority’s Chair, Sir Robert Chote after an open competition regulated by the Commissioner for Public Appointments.

Repurposing an existing building to achieve considerable carbon and energy reduction
[John Anderson Building facade works]
The project, which began in December and will be completed in August, is now fully underway and will see the installation of a fully insulated rain screen over-cladding system incorporating new high-performance, triple-glazed windows that will reduce current fabric heat losses by a calculated 54.97%.
This equates to approximately 60 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) per annum of carbon savings that will support the University’s journey to Net Zero.

[decolonising the curriculum]The next “Decolonising the Curriculum” workshop will focus on Psychology and Life Sciences.
The session will introduce participants to disciplinary examples. There will be a series of reflective activities provided, aimed at helping them to apply the approaches and lessons learned to their own disciplinary context, regardless of which Faculty or Department they represent.
