Dear Postgraduate Student,
The 2024-25 round of the Mac Robertson Postgraduate Travel Scholarship is now open for applications.
The Scholarship, jointly offered by the University of Glasgow and University of Strathclyde, provides an opportunity for PGR students registered at the University of Strathclyde or University of Glasgow to undertake a placement lasting between 2 months - 1 year at a centre of advanced study, preferably out with the UK, in order to enrich and further their academic experience and research achievements.
* Awards available up to value of £5000.
* Open to all postgraduate research students (PhD, MRes, MSc(R) or MPhil) from any discipline currently registered at the University of Strathclyde or University of Glasgow.
* Placements should last between 2 months - 1 year at a centre of advanced study preferably, although not necessarily, out with Scotland.
* The proposed research should be additional to and not essential to the completion of your current course of study.
* Applicants to the Mac Robertson Travel Scholarship should show how their research is relevant both to the University of Strathclyde and University of Glasgow and how it may contribute to further collaborative research.
