May is Mental Health Awareness Month in the UK. Throughout the month, to celebrate and raise awareness, we’ll be shining a spotlight on some of the activities and resources – new and existing – which aim to support positive mental health in our Strathclyde community.

Apply for an annual permit for the academic year 2025/26

[Dr Susan McCool]Alumna Susan is a Principal Teaching Fellow in speech and language therapy, and the only graduate of the programme currently teaching on it.

Professor Gould, who has been active in science for more than 40 years, specialises in the transport of glucose into cells and its role in health and disease.

They develop activities aimed at changing attitudes and increasing knowledge and skills of both students and staff, so that they are better equipped to support themselves and each other during such times.

Fundraiser inspired by the work of Strathclyde’s Engineering for Development team


[https://universityofstrathclyde.newsweaver.com/v3files/shard1/85313/4e/ec8d8582878c2048bbb6b3.png]Pupils at The High School of Glasgow have gone the extra mile – literally – to support a Strathclyde project that is helping rebuild schools in Nepal devastated by earthquakes and flooding.



Throughout March, children swapped school shoes for trainers to take part in ‘March for Nepal’, a sponsored walk organised by the Junior School’s Global Citizenship Committee. Their collective goal was to walk 2,268 miles, the equivalent of half the distance between Scotland and Nepal, and they succeeded in raising an impressive £4,000, including Gift Aid.
