Hi All, I have been asked to share from EPSRC below on an upcoming EPSRC - JST UK-Japan proposal call. Please forward into your network of people.
*********************
We would like to invite you to a webinar on our upcoming Japan-UK joint funding opportunity in semiconductor research (JST-ESPRC).
This is an open opportunity - please pass on this message to interested colleagues and members of your networks.
The Webinar
When: 21st March 2024 09:00-11:00 UK Time
Where: On Zoom, registration required in advance
Please register to attend using the following link: https://ukri.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_erUMCZWtRaGf5PPWVo88mA
In this two hour webinar we will introduce the scope and areas of focus for the call, with presentations from Japanese and UK academics highlighting areas of shared interest in semiconductor research. The webinar is hosted by the funders (ESPRC and JST), and there will be further information about the call and how to participate, followed by the opportunity to ask questions. Participants will also be able to opt in to share contact details enabling networking with attendees from both countries after the event.
The Funding Opportunity
Japan and the UK are planning a joint call in semiconductor research (funded by JST and EPSRC). There will be a total fund up to £4m available to fund the UK side of projects. We anticipate this call will open in May 2024, and close in July 2024, exact dates tbc. A pre-announcement for the call will be on funding finder very soon. Visit: https://www.ukri.org/opportunity/ and search 'Semiconductor'
