Dear All,

Please can I ask all members of the UKNC community to consider nominating the following speakers for the upcoming UKNC Winter Meeting 2025<https://iop.eventsair.com/uknc2025/>:

  1. An invited speaker based in Europe
  2. An invited speaker based outside Europe
  3. The Foxon Lecturer

The European and non-European speakers should be accomplished researchers in nitrides or other wide bandgap materials.

The Foxon Lecturer should be a member of the UK Nitrides/ wide bandgap community and the Foxon Lecture is intended to highlight a particularly interesting aspect of current UK research in wide bandgap materials, and potentially to also give the spotlight to one of our earlier career researchers.

Nominations for each of the above should consist of the nominee's name and email address and a very brief text explaining the motivation for the nomination. A list of recent speakers is given below.

Please send me your nomination by 9th September 2024.

Regards,

Prof David Binks
