[UKNC] IWN conference

Dear All

As you know IWN is next month in Hawaii

At the conference there will be a committee meeting to discuss the venue for the next conferences.  This will include IWN in Asia in 2026 and I expect the committee will look at expressions of interest for 2028 in Europe.

It is a while since a conference on nitrides has been held in the UK (2011 Glasgow) so I think we could make a good argument if one of our groups wants to lead it.  I should say I have not spoken to other European IAC members yet, and so would not be clear if there are other people thinking of throwing their hats in the ring.

If you think you are interested can you please let either me, Rob or a UKNC committee member in you geographical area know.  From personal experience this is a lot of hard work, but I found it rewarding.  It does help to have a strong team locally to support also.
