Please note the following from the Weekly Digest:

*CELEBRATING THE 100^TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ROYAL TECHNICAL COLLEGE –10
Awards from the Sir David Anderson Bequests to be made in 2012*

The University’s predecessor institution was named “the Royal Technical
College” in 1912 “by gracious invitation of His Majesty King George V”.
To celebrate the centenary of that momentous occasion and honour the
memory of the last College Principal, Sir David Anderson, up to 10 Sir
David Anderson Bequest awards will be made in 2012.

The Sir David Anderson Bequest provides funds for distinguished overseas
scientists to visit Strathclyde or travel grants to allow early career
research staff to travel abroad. It is hoped the Bequest will be used to
stimulate international research collaborations and to enhance the
University’s profile for REF 2014. It is open to Science and Engineering
staff. Guidance, case studies and application forms are available on the
SharePoint R&KE Portal <http://bit.ly/JRa7SW>.

Regards,

Rob
