On *Thursday 13 and Friday 14 September*, as part of the Condensed
Matter Doctoral Training Centre (CM-DTC) Industrial Associates programme
we have organised a Careers event to be held at the*Landmark, Dundee*.
The aim of the event is to give you the opportunity to interact with
physicists who have followed different career paths since graduating and
to hear about career opportunities within their companies.
Our guest speakers will be coming from a range of industries, and
include AWE plc. , CondAlign AS , Detica, e 2V , Easylab, Element Six ,
Intellectual Property Office, NPL, Oxford Instruments.
Also attending will be representatives from CCFE, , Marks & Clerk,
Nature Materials, Science Magazine, SELEX Galileo.
There is no cost for this event and meals will be provided, and you can
request transport from and back to Edinburgh / Heriot-Watt / St Andrews.
Although we can book overnight accommodation for you on Thursday this
will cost £79 single or £89 sharing in a twin room.
However for non CM-DTC students

SUPA have offered to cover the cost of your overnight accommodation,
which will need to be paid by you and then reclaimed from them.
Post docs and research supervisors

are welcome to attend at their own expense.
Places are very limited so in order that we can confirm the
accommodation and catering arrangements with the hotel I would be
grateful if you could please let me know the following by no later than
