Dear Head of Department/Vice Dean Research
We are writing to alert you to the issue today of the final calls for proposals in the European Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Development (FP7) for collaborative deliverables-based projects, Marie Curie Actions, the European Research Council, and miscellaneous actions such as research for SMEs.
Some €8 billion will be allocated to projects resulting from successful applications under the calls. Deadlines for applications range from September 2012 to mid-2013. This is the last chance to bid for EU research funding until Horizon 2020, the successor to FP7, comes into place in 2014.
An announcement about these opportunities will be published in the next Weekly Digest of the University for the benefit of all University staff. However, given the importance of the opportunities, we are forwarding you details now in case you wish to forward them to staff likely to be interested in making applications.
Details of the calls and work programmes can be viewed on the R&KE portal<https://moss.strath.ac.uk/research/resportal/default.aspx>. (International funding pages)<https://moss.strath.ac.uk/research/resportal/fundingadvice/funding/Wiki%20Pages/International%20Funding.aspx>
Staff of RKES are available to assist with applications. Please contact Martin Gregory for assistance with proposal development and Katie Robinson for administrative assistance.
With regards
Katie Robinson
