Hi Guys,
We are to be visited in a week or so by the VP of Thales and I wondered if
(a) there were people in your depts that were already working with Thales and/or
(b) if there were people that would like to be working with them.
If you have any names you can supply to me then that would be great. It will help me put on a presentation of our capability/interests to him.
Their interests are in defence, security, space, aerospace and ground transportation .................in their broadest context.
Tony

Hi Penny
I am on holiday during that week, so will not be able to contribute unfortunately.
From the areas mentioned, I can't think of an obvious representative from the Science faculty.
Tony (our VDKE (copied)) might be able to participate.
best wishes
Rein

Dear Alex& Rein,
Alvin Wilby, Vice-President, Strategy& Technical at Thales is making a visit to Strathclyde on 7th August.
Steve Graham and Allister Ferguson are coordinating to show Alvin areas of interest at Strathclyde. Steve suggested that you might be able to talk to the following:
· Technology development / Thales team at Reading - discussion with AF, SG and Engineering/Physical Sciences (Vice Deans for Research in Eng and Science faculties) based on Thales technology portfolio (Aero-Marine-Defence, Transportation, Security, Infrastructure etc)
I’m still working on exact timing for the afternoon but could you perhaps let me know your availability for 1.30 – 4.30pm.
Kind regards,
Penny
