Attached is a scheme that is for placement of our students in Canada, China, India or the USA

It was originally embargoed by Scottish Government, but they have now issued the call on a Press Release.

Dear Principal,

Please find attached Universities Scotland Circular 33-12, which provides details of the Scottish Government’s new Saltire Scholarships for outward student mobility.

A total fund of £130,000 is available, on a match funded basis, and subject to a competitive application process. It is intended to support periods of study or training overseas for home students, either for short periods within the European Higher Education Area or for any duration within Canada, China, India or the USA. The funds may be used to support individual students or to create structures to support outward mobility. Bids should have a widening access angle and demonstrate sustainability beyond the period of funding.

The deadline for applications is 24 August 2012.

The Scottish Government asks that you do not publicise this scheme more widely at this stage, as it has not yet been publicly announced.
