Dear Heads of Department

At its last mtg, FRAP approved the appointment of an Assoc Dean for International Student Recruitment.  I have received a couple of nominations for the post but would be grateful if you would ensure that appropriate members of your dept are aware of the new post.  I attach the job description and person specification for information.

Anyone interested in the post is invited to contact the Dean for an informal discussion in the first instance; ideally, such a mtg would be held no later than Mon 20 Aug 2012.  Formal interviews will be held later this month.  The Vice-Dean (Staffing), Professor George Gettinby is also willing to provide informal advice to anyone thinking of applying.

A candidate invited for formal interview will be required to submit


(a)          a statement outlining:



·        why they wish to be considered for the position

·        the experience that they will bring to the post

·        how the position would fit within their own personal development/career plan.



(b)   a CV tailored to the post.
