Dear All,
Please see the question below which is from the Learning Technologies Enhancement Board.
"The University is investigating the desirability of offering MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses; an example is Coursera https://www.coursera.org/). To this end, we would like to know what examples exist in Faculties of effective use of technologies to support online learning. These would not necessarily be classes that would be considered for use as MOOCs but would contain examples of good practice in the areas of
- content presentation eg video and podcasts
- interaction eg quizzes for reflective learning
- delivery and moderation of large online classes
This would inform aspects of development of a potential pilot MOOC class."
If you use any of the above to support your teaching then please let me know.
I am aware that the core courses PH 151 / 152 / 251 use Webassign as a source of quizzes, PH 252 uses SPIDER based quizzes.
The elective classes PH 160 and PH 161 use SPIDER based quizzes for assessment.
Nigel
