Dear Colleagues,

I would be grateful if you could send an email out to your department to highlight the Santander 2013 staff mobility awards.  Further information and the application  can be found on our wepage from the following link - http://www.strath.ac.uk/rio/prospective/santanderscholarships2013/.  Travel can be undertaken at any time in the 2013/14 academic year.  Departments are also permitted to host a colleague from another institution.  If they would like to do this the application must come from the Strathclyde faculty member with details of who they would like to host detailed in the application.

As we are currently developing links in Brazil with a number of top institutions preference will be given applications which may strengthen these ties.  The emerging list of institutions include;

University of Sao Paulo (USP)
State University of Sao Paulo (UNESP)
Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG)
Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ)
Federal University of ABC (UFABC)
Federal University of Bahia (UFBA)

We will of course also welcome applications from those intending to travel to other Santander countries which will lead to either joint research/publications or strengthen current institutional partnerships.
