Dear All

If any of you has some summer student requiring training, here is a
reminder of the procedure:

1. If they have a Strathclyde account
online course (Safety Services course ID: LBAW02; MyPlace ID: SS04
Radiation: Laser safety)
https://bookings.strath.ac.uk/courseDetails.asp?course=LBAW

including an online assessment

2. If they don't have a Strathclyde account
Download the material for them from SPIDER
document store/laser information /training
They should look through the material (Laser Safety Lecture; Basic
Laser Safety Awareness (Safety Services and Risktec) is a slightly
extended version with more details), fill in the assessment form (Laser
Safety Awareness (Assessment)) and then come to me with that.

3. I suggest to you to use the Induction form for UG students to
document the local induction. This goes to Annette Sinclair for archiving.

Regards

Thorsten
