Greeting from India

I am happy to introduce myself as S. Thirumalairajan. I am interested to work as a postdoctoral fellow with your research group. Sir, I have been awarded my Ph.D in Nanoscience and Technology (Materials science) on July 2013 to Bharathiar University, India.

During my doctoral research, I was involved in the design and fabrication of different novel morphologies of perovskite oxide - LaFeO3 nanostructures. It was a challenge to prepare LaFeO3 novel nanostructures with controlled size and shape through ultrahigh vacuum and chemical methods like Thermal evaporation, RF/DC magnetron sputtering, sol-gel technique, hydrothermal process, precipitation method, etc. Also, my work was dedicated to study the morphology dependent physical properties and its potential in multifunctional applications like biosensing, gas sensing and photocatalyst activities during my doctoral work. The outcome of the results is in the form of articles published in high impact international journals.

In addition, I have also worked in metal oxides like ZnO, MgO, Fe2O3 and Ga2O3  for environmental remediation processes, batteries and energy storage application. I have good experience in the preparation and characterization of these metal oxide nanostructured thin films and powders using structural, morphological, magnetic, electrical and thermal tools like XRD, Raman, SEM, TEM, VSM, BET, IV-CV, electrochemical analysis and TG/DTA. Having achieved my goals in the career of material science and nanoscience, I would like to expand my professional horizons by seeking new challenges in the area of ultra high vacuum technique, surface science material properties and its potential application.  I am willed to continue my research in the area of experimental condensed matter physics, any research field and nanocrystalline materials/thin films toward energy and environmental application. Kindly consider my application for the post doctoral position to work with your group. I have enclosed my detailed Curriculum Vitae containing the list of publications for your kind perusal and consideration.

 I am sure that the work assigned to me will be completed to your expectations at appropriate time through the experiences I have acquired through my six years journey of research carrier.
