To Heads of Physics Departments

Dear Colleague

The Institute of Physics has developed a free online learning resource 
for the teaching of Quantum Physics at undergraduate level and we would 
be delighted if you were able to attend the official launch event, which 
will take place *on Friday 13 December 2013 from 12:30-15:00 at 76 
Portland Place, London W1B 1NT*.

To support teaching, the site has over 100 short articles, simulations 
and problems, allowing tutors and students to select their own path 
through this complex subject. Unlike traditional approaches

based on continuous wave mechanics, the site themes allow a start from 
discrete two-level systems.During the event you will hear from the 
project leader, Professor Derek Raine, about the development history of 
the website and after a demonstration have the opportunity to try the 
website yourself. Please see the attached programme and invitation for 
more information.

Lunch is provided and the event will be over in good time to do some 
Christmas shopping.
