Dear colleagues,

*Institute Of Physics Awards 2014 -- Call for nominations*

The Institute of Physics awards aim to recognise and reward those people 
who have made outstanding achievements in industry, business and 
research as well as contributions made to physics outreach and education 
and the application of physics and physics-based technologies.

We are now seeking nominations for the 2014 Awards and need your help to 
nominate the most outstanding people in their respective fields.  The 
attached flyer outlines all of the awards for which we are seeking 
nominations in 2014.  Please could I ask you to share this information 
with any of your colleagues whom it may be of interest to.

The awards committee select recipients from the nominations they receive 
each year, so it is up to you to ensure that your university, subject 
and colleagues are well represented to them.  The committee particularly 
welcomes nominations for women and those from ethnic minority 
backgrounds who are often under-represented in the nominations that we 
receive.

Full details of the nomination procedure, eligibility and terms of 
reference are available on our website.  Please go to www.iop.org/about 
<http://www.iop.org/about> and select Awards.  The closing date for 
receipt of nominations is *Friday 24 January 2014*.
