Dear All,

Just a quick reminder of the approaching abstract submission deadline for the conference:

‘The Physics of Soft and Biological Matter’

 <http://softbio.iopconfs.org/home> http://softbio.iopconfs.org/home

to be held in Cambridge from 14-16th April 2014

This conference is organised by the <http://www.iop.org/activity/groups/subject/bp/index.html> IOP Biological Physics Group, <http://www.iop.org/activity/groups/subject/lcf/index.html> IOP Liquids and Complex Fluids Group, <http://www.iop.org/activity/groups/subject/mol/index.html> IOP Molecular Physics Group and <http://www.iop.org/activity/groups/subject/pol/index.html> IOP Polymer Physics Group and is co-sponsored by the <http://britishbiophysics.org.uk/> British Biophysical Society, <http://ebsa.org/portal/> European Biophysical Societies' Association (EBSA), <http://www.eps.org/> European Physical Society (EPS) and <http://www.societyofbiology.org> Society of Biology

The meeting seeks to bring together the broad and diverse community interested in the physics of soft and biological matter, which includes liquids, liquid crystals, polymers, colloids, membranes, interfaces, cellular biophysics, and biological macromolecules.

The programme will span a number of key cross-cutting themes, including self-assembly and patterning, rheology, biomimetics, non-equilibrium phenomena, as well as molecular imaging, optical methods and spectroscopies, which are all relevant to the wide range of length- and time-scales present in these fascinating systems.

Best wishes,

Neil Hunt

Hon. Secretary, IOP Molecular Physics Group
