Hello,

As a follow-up to Nigel’s email:

- Updated links to the project folder on the I drive (\\ds.strath.ac.uk\idrive\Physics\project\PH450<file:///\\ds.strath.ac.uk\idrive\Physics\project\PH450>) – please let me know if you have any difficulty getting the report PDFs.

- PH450 mark sheets attached – please bring first supervisor’s and report mark sheets to the viva so all marks can be collated thereafter.

- PH450 viva timetable for next week, 28th April to 2nd May, is attached.

Thanks,

Timothy

Dear All,

If you have been 1st or 2nd supervisor of a 4th year project then you can access the student’s reports through the folder found at either:

I:\Physics\project\PH450

or

\\ds.strath.ac.uk\idrive\Physics\project\PH450<file:///\\ds.strath.ac.uk\idrive\Physics\project\PH450>

The reports are ordered by student name.

I have attached the marking scheme and this can also be found in the folder. Please ensure that when you attend the oral examination that the marking scheme is completed as this will help simplify with the assessment process.

Further notes on accessing the folder:

The official page for how to use the university shared drives is here:

http://www.strath.ac.uk/it/infrastructure/networking/webdrives/

It gives notes for Windows XP, Vista, 7, Mac OS X

The URL for the project files is:

https://webdrive.strath.ac.uk/idrive/Physics/project

If using MacOS X, the instructions on the webpage above work.

If using Linux, connect to the network share/server using Webdav (https)

If using Windows, you can use the URL above to map a network drive, or paste:

\\ds.strath.ac.uk\idrive\Physics\project<file:///\\ds.strath.ac.uk\idrive\Physics\project>

into Windows Explorer.

You can also access the I: drive from Pegasus, but make sure your using IE. It doesn’t work with Firefox or Chrome.

Hope that helps.

Nigel
