Dear All,
Something at short notice from our colleagues in Chemistry that may be of interest to some of you. I'm told that the visitor is from the Edinburgh medical school and is using fluorescence inside patients' lungs to detect cancer. He's apparently an excellent speaker.

Dr Kev Dhaliwal, (University of Edinburgh) will be giving a colloquium today (Wednesday February 11th) at 13.00 in TG 310 entitled 'Lighting up the Lung - Seeing is Believing'.
All are welcome to attend, however, can I remind you that attendance is compulsory for postgraduate students in the Inorganic and Analytical section in order to receive postgraduate credits.
