[Academic] Possibility of PH550/PH450 project recycling

Dear All

If your name is on the list below, you are currently signed up to supervise a continuing M. Phys. PH550 project. Further details can be found in the attached spreadsheet. This year should see the beginning of the end in the recent rapid expansion of our student numbers, but we expect to see ~100 4th years and 28 5th years in the 2015/16 session.

This (begging) letter is written to ask if you would be so good as to consider recycling one or more of your current projects by starting it up again with a fourth year student? If this is possible, there are clear advantages for the students, obviously, but also for the supervisor, which I will be happy to discuss with you personally.

Daniel Oi is joining the UG projects team this year, with his main responsibility the PH450 component and new projects.

Please drop me a line to say if you are willing/unwilling to join the recycling scheme. With the early start of the 2015/16 session, we need to have the project booklet in place on or before 14 September.
