[Academic] SUPA Induction for 1st year PhD students

Dear 1st Year Postgraduates:

I am disappointed to find out that only 5 of our new intake of PhD students attended the SUPA Graduate School Induction today. Especially so as it was held in our own TIC building. As I stated at the departmental induction, this event is/was compulsory. The SUPA Graduate School is an important and valued part of our PhD programme and you are expected to attend the events laid on for you unless there is a very good reason. Poor attendance such as this will hinder your ability to get the most out of the Graduate School experience and reflects badly on the department. We will expect better engagement in future.
