European Researchers Night Returns: 30th September 2016
The University, as part of a Scotland-wide consortium, has secured a second round of Horizon 2020 funding to host European Researchers Night in 2016 and 2017. The night is a celebration of research and researchers which takes place all across Europe on the last Friday in September.
Researchers from all disciplines and career stages can take part and help bring the city to life with curiosity through activities, exhibits and interactions, inviting the public to understand what research is and the impact that is has.
As well as outside venues such as the Glasgow Science Centre and Riverside Museum, this year we will also be visiting 50 schools and nurseries throughout Glasgow. To do this we need more researchers to get involved than ever before.
We are also looking for companies to get involved as part of the schools outreach activities. If you have any suggestions of companies with portable hands-on kit that would like to get involved, please get in touch.
To take part please complete this short survey<https://strath.eu.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_3NMCeNv0ycoOf5j> before 12th July.
There will be a briefing session in Stenhouse 104 on Wednesday 6th July at 12.30pm. Please BOOK NOW<https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/explorathon16-information-roadshow-sbs-tickets-25903595351> to attend.
For more information and to book a different information session if please visit the Explorathon web page<https://www.strath.ac.uk/publicengagement/explorathon/>.
Many thanks
