Subject: Summer Projects

Hello

I am currently studying for a MPhys at Strathclyde, going into my 3rd year. I was wondering if there were any opportunities for any projects, or jobs I could be of assistance to, that I could do over the course of this summer as experience in a physics related field?
I know this is rather short notice but any kind of experience (unpaid or paid) I would love to get involved with. I was recently taken aback by a talk at a conference (CAPS held by the IoP) I attended that Sir John Pendry did on his work with metamaterials and negative refractive indices, so I would really appreciate it if I could be directed to a researcher that specialises in photonics in this area. Of course, I would love to work in and get involved with any field that is available for summer experience at this short notice as I am still currently deciding on what to specialise in myself for my later years as an undergraduate.

I'll leave out information such as a CV or anything of the sort as I'm really just seeing if there is anything that is available for experience in any physics related field.
