Good evening all,

Firstly, let me introduce myself as the recently appointed Commercial Business Development Manager for the Physics department.

In this role I will be aiming to help the department win and grow research and knowledge exchange income.

This could take the form of working closely with members of the academic and research staff to identify and review opportunities for collaborative R&D funded by companies and/or grants if your ideas are at the conceptual stage or for well advanced research assisting with securing IPR protection and assessments as to what is the most appropriate commercialisation route. Therefore, no matter what stage your research is at I am here to help you engage with industry partners and develop those valuable long-term strategic relationships.

If you would like to discuss how I can assist you with these goals, then you will find me in either the TIC (level 5) or in room 8.05 of the John Anderson building. Alternatively, you can contact me at the email address noted in the signature below or visit the monthly drop-in sessions, organised by Susan, in John Anderson, the next of which will take place on Tuesday 7th November.

Regards,

Liam
