Dear Head of Department/School,

The Vice Principal has requested that all staff are provided with an opportunity to gain a greater understanding of online learning - classes or courses which are delivered entirely online. Education Enhancement has developed a one-hour "Demystifying Online Learning" workshop which we are inviting all Departments to have run for them. The workshop covers:

-          How online learning is different

-          What makes a good online class

-          Benefits and challenges of online learning

-          A tour of an online class

-          The design and development process

-          The delivery and management of an online class

The session includes short video clips with Strathclyde staff and students to bring their recent experience:

The workshop lasts an hour and we are happy to deliver this in your own Department at a time convenient to you and your colleagues. We understand that not all staff are necessarily available at the same time and would be happy to run the workshop more than once for your Department, should that be useful.
