[Academic] Call for MSc projects, PH952

Dear All

As hopefully indicated in my absence at the dept. meeting, me need again 
projects for the MSc students and we should finish the allocation this 
year BEFORE the revision and exams start to minimize interference.

Schedule for MSc projects 2019

8/1/2019 presentation of group leaders or representatives on dept. 
research structure and project opportunities. You can ask your group 
leader to flag up a project already at this stage.

Afterwards, students have the opportunity to discuss tailored projects 
with potential supervisors. Otherwise, the usual route is

31/1/2019 Deadline for academics to submit project proposals

21/2/2019 Deadline for students to submit their project choices

28/2/2019 Target for allocation

3/6/2019 Start of project

19/8/2019 Hand-in deadline

26-30/8/2019 assessment, potentially a few students a little bit earlier 
or later
