[Academic] Important message about Exam Invigilation

With regard to the message I sent yesterday, Kevin Ronald has asked me to remind all invigilators to ensure that students switch their phones off and leave them in their bags for the duration of the exam.  They should not have them on their desks.

Dear Academic Staff,

It has been brought to our attention that a student at the back of an exam hall was accessing their phone repeatedly in a recent physics exam, while the invigilator sat at the front of the room, only leaving their seat when a student raised their hand.

Please can I remind you to be vigilant throughout the exams you invigilate, and to keep checking that students are adhering to the examination rules.
