Subject: Decibel meter and a photometer?

Dear Shirley,

Many thanks for speaking to me on the phone today.

I am a researcher at SIPBS, and for some field work within pharmacies I am looking to use a decibel meter and a photometer. My thoughts are that the physics department may own some of these devices which could be used? Alternatively, I am also aware that you can get smartphone apps for these purposes, and it would be good to hear if anyone within the physics department has any experience of these and can give me an idea of how reliable they are?

Many thanks for your time,

Natalie
