Two strategic opportunities from EPSRC that might be of interest to you all at the moment?

Strategic Advisory board members EPSRC have openings across many of their advisory boards and at various levels (ECR, Senior etc) https://epsrc.ukri.org/about/governance/recruitment/membershipsab/vacancies/  Note they are also looking to increase diversity amongst members so do think widely here - this would be one to push out in your department.  Deadline 24th August 2019, process can be found: https://epsrc.ukri.org/about/governance/recruitment/membershipsab/  If anyone wants help do send them my way.

Statement of Need for national facility - EPSRC have a call out for statements of need for proposed (or renewal of existing) national facilities to support research in their remit areas.  It would be worth thinking strategically within your department (or across the institution more widely) if this is something you want to respond to.  No funding attached to it rather they are looking to the community to assess need, if one is deemed worthy, a future call may be opened up, closes 31st of October https://epsrc.ukri.org/files/funding/calls/2019/call-for-national-research-facility-statements-of-community-need/
