Let me take the opportunity to remind you all of a business engagement event at the TIC that our Faculty is holding this coming Tuesday:

Work between business and university has come a long way from us simply sending out an order, our supplier packing the item, writing the invoice and us then paying the bill. We plan together. We develop together. We exchange ideas, concepts and visions for future products. We exchange staff and students and we develop joint IP for future commerce.

To further strengthen our supplier network and to develop new links the Faculty is holding a business engagement event between the Departments and our suppliers. Please see the attached program. While you will be familiar with some of the topics it might be useful to get a better insight into costing consultancy work or setting up Knowledge Transfer Partnerships.

It would be very nice to see a good turnout from the Department on Tuesday and if you can think of a supplier of yours that would benefit from a swift personal reminder please do so.
