[Academic] Research News for Departmental Website

Dear All,

There's a lot of exciting and important research happening in the department and there's no reason to hid it under a bushel. We are always on the lookout for news items for the Departmental Research News to appear on our website [1]. It will help promote your research and increase visibility, all good things for the REF.

Things we are interested in include (not exclusively):

-          Notable publications

-          Major grant successes

-          Our research in the News

-          New Academics and Senior Research staff arrivals

-          Lines of research with a compelling narrative

-          Events, e.g. Conferences organised by Strathclyde Physicists

-          Long research visits (either coming or going)

-          Prizes, research students upwards

-          Other items of research relevance
These do not have to be long articles, a couple of paragraphs and a photo or figure to brighten it up are sufficient.

If you have something you'd like to contribute, contact me or Timothy (who runs the departmental Twitter stream as well) and we would be more than happy to discuss.
