Several of you will have received an email from RKES asking you to
complete a spreadsheet relating to any EPSRC DTP studentships you
currently hold.

RKES is being pressed for this information by EPSRC. Although this
process should be automated to at least some degree in future, it will
require manual input from supervisors for this year at least. To
minimise the effort involved, some suggestions as to what supervisors
can  put in each section is provided. RKES say that responses are
anonymised before returning to EPSRC.

Q1 Student Recruitment
You can enter details of all applicants you considered for the
studentship if you really want to (!), just the successful candidate or
submit nothing if you prefer.

Q2 Non-research council investment
In most cases, this will be "Institutional" with an amount of approx
£30K (This is the total studentship cost (~£70K) - the amount provided
by EPSRC (~£40K - see your studentship application on
pgrapps.strath.ac.uk if you want the exact figures) )

Q3 Training & Cohort Building
a) Events/activities which apply to most students are :
Physics department induction
University induction
SUPA Graduate School induction/welcome event
Physics department colloquia
SUPA Graduate school transferrable skills training (see www.supa.ac.uk)
Strathclyde PG Cert in Researcher Development courses/activities (see
https://www.strath.ac.uk/theresearcherdevelopmentprogramme/)

Q4  - Q6 responses will be specific to each studentship. You can provide
as much or as little information as you wish.

Regards

Gordon
