[Academic] PH450 Talk Schedule v1.0

Minor changes from previous version. The following information was sent to students:

The talk schedule for the 19th and 26th February is now available on MyPlace. Inform your supervisor should there be any issues.

Consult the Project Booklet Appendices for guidance on the talks. Key points to note:

  *   Talk slots are 15 mins, consisting of 10 mins for the presentation and 5 mins for questions and changeover
  *   Talks need to be in Powerpoint or PDF format
  *   Talks need to conform to the style as given in the Science Faculty template. Use the template provided, else ensure that slides are a close facsimile
  *   Talks are to be uploaded to MyPlace the day previous to the scheduled date for pre-loading onto the presentation laptop
  *   Talks should be aimed at the level of your classmates

I've had to heavily revise the Talk Schedule to version 0.2, having just been informed that a large number of people would be away at a conference during one of the weeks.

Also a correction, the dates of the talks are Wednesdays 19th and 26th February 2020.

Dear All,

I have attached a first pass at the 4th Year Project Talk Schedule for the 19th and 29th February. I hope to let students have the first release by the end of the week. Please send me any requests for change of talk slots by end of Wednesday.

Talks slots of 15 mins each, consisting of 10 mins for talk and 5 mins for questions and changeover. It would be good to have a good number of senior staff for marking purposes as well as the primary and secondary supervisors, plus any PhD students and other researchers to make up a suitable audience.
