Dear All,

Following on from the discussions at the last Departmental Committee I'd like to remind you that the Physics Society PDA Quiz run by the Physics Society will take place at 3pm on Wednesday 12th February in JA3.25.

For convenience, I have put a list of everyone's PDA students onto the i-drive. Please note that this is the most up-to-date list that I have access to and there may have been a few changes. You can check your current PDA students (including registration status) on Pegasus by going to "Student Experience", "Students" - "Your Student Responsibilities".

Please arrange to meet with your students around 15 minutes prior to the start of the quiz in order to collect your group and decide on a team name. There will be a prize for the best team name and sticky labels for your team can be collected from Melanie & Shirley.

If you are unable to attend the quiz, please arrange for someone to attend in your research group to look after your students. If anyone doesn't have any PDA students at the moment but would like to take part that would be great. Please feel free to join any team that you like, or to volunteer to look after a group whose PDA is unavailable (I can help to arrange that).

Please also arrange to meet with all of your 1st & 2nd year students individually over the next couple of weeks. At this point they should complete the last page of the 1st & 2nd year PDA forms, respectively, that can be downloaded from https://www.strath.ac.uk/science/physics/currentstudents/handbookandadviserofstudies/
The completed page can be uploaded through the Myplace classes PH185 and PH285.

Thank you for your participation in this.

Best regards,

Alison
