[Academic] Fourth year projects and strike action

This is a message for those who are supervising fourth year projects and have taken industrial action.

Following concerns raised by some students about the effect of the strike on their project progress, the following message has been put on MyPlace for PH450:

Sent on behalf of the Head of Department:
Guidance for students whose PH450 project supervisor is involved in the industrial action
If your project supervisor is currently on strike, please arrange to meet them on a non-strike day (Thursday 27 Feb, Friday 28 Feb; Fri 6 March) and agree on what you should be doing while they are out of the University so that you can stay on track to submit your project report on time.  Supervisors will be asked to inform the viva team of any potential impact to the student, and also to note this on the marking sheet.  In this way, the Board of Examiners will be aware of how projects may have been affected and ensure that no student is disadvantaged.
