Dear EPSRC DTP and ICASE Supervisors

Unfortunately the EPSRC NPIF Innovation Placement Scheme must close at the end of March 2020 as detailed in my previous email.

However, not all our budget has been spent and we are contacting you to ask if any of your EPSRC DTP or EPSRC ICASE students have participated in a placement with industry/policy organisations/SMEs, since October 2018 which was relevant to the EPSRC Industrial Strategy<https://eur02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fepsrc.ukri.org%2Finnovation%2Findustrialstrategy%2F&data=02%7C01%7Caudrey.mckinnon%40strath.ac.uk%7C0839ca6a34554963e84f08d7d0a927cb%7C631e0763153347eba5cd0457bee5944e%7C0%7C0%7C637207297243597694&sdata=4nLHkKmrpc91nY%2F4IlfgSiD3h2HR2RALKli9D7OMNGo%3D&reserved=0>? If so please let us know the following by 17th March and we may be able to reimburse the costs from the Innovation Placement budget:

  * Placement location (company name and city/country).
  * Placement dates from and to.
  * Total costs of the placement (travel, accommodation etc).
  * Area of Relevance to the EPSRC Industrial Strategy (Digital Economy, Energy, Engineering, Global Uncertainties, Healthcare Technologies, ICT, LWEC, Manufacturing the Future, Mathematical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Quantum Technologies, Research Infrastructure).
  * A short explanation of the relevance of the placement to the EPSRC Industrial Strategy.

If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact us.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes

Shona
