Dear Brian,
thank you for the message.
What is the logic behind this action? Why can’t the University maintain the present agreement with Zoom?
Removing videos will create anxiety among the students who will not be able to find important material of the first semester in courses that extend to the second semester.
Many of these videos contain tutorial questions and solutions, worked examples and useful explanations.
Moving videos to Stream will make them unsafe, is time consuming and should be avoided.
If the Zoom videos will be deleted, I will simply notify the students of the event after 15th January 2021 and provide them with an address of the University for complaints.
No responsibility of these unjustified actions on the lecturers/academics.
Best wishes,
gian-luca

"If staff have teaching recordings still hosted on Zoom which are linked from Myplace, these should be downloaded and transferred to Microsoft Stream immediately."
Instructions on how to do this are given in the above link.
That'll keep the servers busy...
Regards,
Brian.
